The stadium is located in Zografou, a district 4 km east of the Athens
city centre. The best way to get there is by public transport. Use
line 3 of the Metro and get off at "Katehaki".
From there take bus #140 and get off at "Gefyra"
stop, which is right outside Zografou Stadium. However, if you are
not in the city centre and want to get to the stadium by car,
use Imittos Ring Road and leave it at exit Y1, towards "Athens
- centre". At the second set of traffic lights that you will
come across, turn left. Zografou Stadium is 1 km along this road,
on the left.

More
data: Zografou Municipal Stadium bears
the name of Gregoris Lambrakis, a very popular statesman who was murdered
in the 1960s.
The state of the stadium has not changed much since its contruction. However, a few works have taken place recently. They involved the installation of plastic seats on the south stand (the only one at the stadium), something that reduced capacity by about 1,000. New floodlights were also installed in 2006. The stadium is owned by the Municipality of Zografou. |
