| October 3rd, 2001 Newly promoted to the 1st Division Aegaleo FC face a major problem concerning their home ground. AEGALEO STADIUM was severely damaged by the earthquake that hit Athens in September 1999. The main stand was deemed "dangerous" while all the others have to undergo extensive repairs, if they are to be opened again to fans. Although 2 years have now gone by, nothing has changed! No works have started yet, and no one knows if and when they ever will. As a result, Aegaleo will have to use KORYDALLOS STADIUM (nearest ground with 1st Division facilities) as home for at least the 2001-2002 season. |
