Following several weeks of uncertainty, Olympiakos CFP have decided that
RIZOUPOLI STADIUM will be their home for the next Champions League. It is reminded that this same ground will host the domestic games of the Greek champions for the next couple of seasons. However, this is not the end of this particular story. All the necessary upgrading works (the cost is estimated at about € 2 million) have to be completed by mid-August, when a delegation from UEFA is scheduled to visit the stadium in order to give the final approval.

It must be noted that Olympiakos came to their final decision after looking at a number of other stadia over the last year, namely:
Panahaiki Stadium, the New GSP of Nicosia and AEK's "Nikos Goumas" Stadium. This final ground is the most probable alternative solution in – the rather unlikely – case Rizoupoli isn't given the green light by UEFA.
