Στο πόλεμο των εντυπώσεων τους αιφνιδιάσαμε τελικά και μάλλον τον κερδίζουμε.

Στον οικονομικό πόλεμο ΟΜΩΣ, είναι μεγαθήρια αυτοί που τον σκηνοθέτησαν και μάλλον θα χάσουμε. Λοιπόν, σήμερα σας έχω την οριστική και τελεσίδικη απάντηση σε αυτούς που ισχυρίζονται ότι για τα αρνητικά δημοσιεύματα του ξένου τύπου φταίνε οι Έλληνες και οι καθυστερήσεις τους.

Πλάκα κάνω. Φταίνε βεβαίως οι Έλληνες, αλλά όχι τόσο (ή μόνο) για τις καθυστερήσεις. Φταίνε διότι στο επικοινωνιολογικό παιχνίδι στο εξωτερικό απέτυχαν παταγωδώς. Ουσιαστικά, υπήρξε παντελής έλλειψη οποιασδήποτε επικοινωνιακής στρατηγικής και σχεδόν μηδαμινή επένδυση κεφαλαίων. Στην Αμερική, είδα διαφημίσεις από ATHOC n EOT ή κυβέρνηση (δηλ. όχι διαφημίσεις του NBC) μόνο για 2-3 μέρες. Καλές ήταν αλλά τις ξέχασα ήδη. Στο CNN σήμερα το πρωί σχολίαζαν το ότι οι Ολυμπιακοί είναι σε μια βδομάδα και κανείς δεν μιλάει γι αυτούς. Στο Λονδίνο και σε άλλες ευρωπαϊκές πρωτεύουσες είπαν ότι λίγο-πολύ όλα τα λεωφορεία θα είχαν διαφημίσεις για τους Αγώνες και τώρα διαβάζω ότι κάτι τέτοιο δεν έγινε (ή ίσως να έγινε σε τόσο μικρή κλίμακα που κανείς δεν πήρε χαμπάρι).

Φοβάμαι ότι αντικειμενικά,
δεν έφταιγε γιατί ουσιαστικά μεγαλώνοντας έμαθε ότι ο ΚΟΣΜΟΣ ξεκινάει από το Λος Angeles και τελειώνει στη NY.
